Ostia ROME, June 2013 – Another great weekend in the LIBR Italian National Championships in which last years 2012 Masters Final Champions, ‘I Pessimi’, demonstrated why they are a continuing force in Italian Beach 5’s Rugby.
Convincing in the qualifying stages of the event, they didn’t have it all their own way in the final, just edging out a resilient Crazy Crabs squad with a score of 4-3. For sure the Crazy Crabs have shown that they will be in the mix when the 2013 Italian Masters Final comes round at the end of July in Alba Adriatica.
At the end of the weekend, the placings panned out as follows:
1° PESSIMI , 2° CRAZY CRABS , 3° BELLI DENTRO , 4° THE DRILLS , 5° FORT APACHE , 6° DRAGHI SBRAGATI , 7° I FORASTICI , 8° LENGHERI BEACH RUGBY.
Needless to say, not only have ‘I Pessimi’ laid down a marker in the Italian league, this victory must also be seen as a mark of their clear intention to make their presence felt at SB5 Lignano 2013 on 20-21 July. Stay tuned.
