Every time our next Challenger enters the LIGNANO BEACH ARENA they always make their presence felt. Rich in the Culture of the South Pacific, where RUGBY is their National Sport, they are an outstanding example of a squad who believes in the values of competitive sport. Indeed during the heat of last years SB5 2013, they provided the tournament with one of the finest examples of controlled passion and skill that brought the stands of adoring SB5 FANS to their feet. Ultimate Offload to Isiah Young-SB5 2013[/frame]The Tongan style of play has already made them firm favorites with the LIGNANO faithful. It’s a fast, free-flowing, offloading game that is equally matched by a fully committed, in-your-face, hard hitting defence. Year on year, for every Challenger who has any aspirations of becoming SB5 Champions, the boys from Tonga will always be one of the biggest obstacles to overcome.
While they themselves have yet to feature in an SB5 final, with everything they have to offer, opinion in the SB5 Clubhouse is that their time is soon to come.
And for the likes of Isiah Young, Lasolo Elia, Sam Tukere, one senses that there’s no time like the present. If you want to say ‘HELLO‘ to the lads from ‘ TO ‘, then save the dates – July 19th & 20th!
